Live television
Scheduled channels that play the same programme at the same time for everyone watching, the way broadcast television always has.
Channels & content
An honest overview of the kinds of programming an internet television subscription carries, and how to find out whether the specific things you care about are part of it.
An IPTV subscription usually carries two different things. Live channels run to a schedule, exactly like broadcast television: you join whatever is playing. On-demand titles sit in a library you browse, start when you want and pause whenever you like.
Most players present both in the same interface, with a programme guide for the live channels and a grid of artwork for the on-demand library. Which of the two you use more is a matter of habit — households that came from satellite tend to live in the channel list, while households that came from streaming apps tend to live in the library.
We do not publish channel counts or library sizes. Figures like that move constantly and are easy to inflate, so a number on a web page tells you very little about whether your programme will be there tonight. Ask us about the specific programming you want and you will get a direct answer instead.

The interface shown here is an original illustration created for this website. The programme titles in it were invented for the artwork and are not a listing of available content.
Categories
These are the categories an internet television subscription is typically organised around.
Scheduled channels that play the same programme at the same time for everyone watching, the way broadcast television always has.
On-demand titles you start when you want to, pause and come back to later.
Episodic programmes organised by series and episode so you can pick up where you left off.
Live sport is the most demanding thing you can stream. We will tell you plainly what your connection can support before you rely on it.
Rolling news channels, including international ones that are hard to find on a standard package.
Factual programming — nature, history, science and current affairs — for viewers who watch more of it than drama.
Programming aimed at younger viewers, usually grouped together so it is easy to find and easy to keep an eye on.
Channels in other languages and from other countries, which is one of the main reasons households move to internet television in the first place.
The electronic programme guide — the EPG — is the grid that shows what is on each channel now and later. It arrives separately from the video streams themselves, which is why a channel can play perfectly while its guide looks empty or shows the wrong programme. If that happens, the fix is usually to refresh the guide inside the player rather than to change anything about the subscription.
Programming on any television platform changes over time. Channels are added and removed, rights move between providers and regional variations differ. That is as true of satellite and cable as it is of internet television. It is the reason we would rather confirm what matters to you in a conversation than print a list on a page that will be out of date within weeks.
If there is one competition, one channel or one type of programming that would decide this for you, tell us what it is before you subscribe. A two-minute message now is better than finding out afterwards, and we would rather tell you that we are not the right fit than take an order that disappoints you.
